Each year, LTlov grants scholarships to qualified LTISD graduating seniors to help defray the enormous cost of pursuing a degree in higher education. Every candidate completes a lengthy application and spends time interviewing with the LTlov Scholarship Committee. We are grateful to our sponsors and our community for supporting LTlov in this regard. Our vision continues to be a compassionate community without economical or educational disparity.

This incredible young lady and 2021 Lake Travis graduate Abigail Garcia, received a $10,000 scholarship from LTLov. Her goal is to be a pediatric nurse practitioner. Her mom has had some health setbacks that have strained their finances. She has been worried about paying for her daughter’s college tuition. Abigail applied to our scholarship program and was so deserving due to her Academic achievements and interview.

Here’s Abbey’s latest update on how this scholarship is helping her at college.

I just finished up my first semester at Tech and I wanted to reach out and let y’all know how much the LTlov scholarship has helped me this semester! I’m proud to say that I was able to make the dean’s list and have loved my time at Tech so far. I’ve met the most amazing people and have had so much fun figuring out how to do life in college. I went through sorority recruitment and ended up rushing Alpha Phi just like my mom.

I’ve also joined a few clubs such as the Pre-nursing association and the Honors Association for Aspiring Pre-Health Tracks.  I’ll hopefully be starting a job as a certified nurse aide next semester, as I’ve been working on earning my certification over the break. My mom and I can’t even put into words how thankful we are and how much this scholarship has helped us out.
