For the third straight year, LTlov’s Kids Free Dental Care Day gave Lake Travis children the opportunity to receive basic dental care that would otherwise be unaffordable for their families. Fifty-two children got their teeth checked, cleaned, polished and repaired thanks to an extraordinary team of dental professionals and support volunteers. We extend our gratitude to Dr. Robbie Robinson for continuing to open up his Lakeway Dental Office to host this event. Special thanks to Dr. Chris Kimball and the fabulous staff of the Lakeway Dental Office, including hygienists Sue Minard and Pat Waden, dental assistant Chelsee Brown and Sandy Kubala, from Dr. Robbie’s office who also participated. We could not have accomplished this worthwhile endeavor without the willingness of all of our volunteers to serve and promote the importance of oral health! Thank you Dr. Rich Maastricht, Dr. Neal Shah and the Austin Dental Arts team, Rose Dental’s hygienist Paul Welch, Dr. Winston Eaddy and Eaddy Dentistry, Dr. Misty James and River Place Dental, Dr. Samantha Kaye and Lakeway Smiles and Hill Country Pediatric Dentistry’s Dr. Angie Hernandez. Cheers to Emmaus Parish, the Lake Travis Crisis Ministries, Spicewood Helping Hands, the Health Care Volunteer Associates Clinic, PODER, and LTISD for promotion assistance, and also to Benco Dental, Henry Schein Dental and Patterson Dental for donating supplies. Three years ago, LTlov members decided to commit time and resources towards ensuring all children in our community have access to essential dental care and understand the importance of routine dental hygiene. With the support of caring individuals, out lofty goal has become a healthy reality.
